About Marco Fontani

I am a Free and Open Source software user, and developer. I have been developing in C since the early '90s, in Perl since the late '90s and I have been using other languages on and off for the past twenty years. I have used Linux since the Slackware 3.6 release in 1998 or thereabouts, and have used it as my main operating system for quite a long time.

I am currently working as a freelance Perl developer, in Milan, Italy.

On this site I keep a list of posts, articles, and code which I hope will be of interest to somebody. The topics I write most about are Perl, Git, and Linux. Feel free to browse the site, and take away what interests you. Most of the code is released under a permissive BSD license.

This site is built using Vim, Perl, Xslate, and quite a few shell scripts.
